When anyone wagers or bet money or anything material, on an event; the result of which is unknown at the time of betting, it is called gambling. It is an effort to win something in an occurrence; the outcome of which is not certain at that time. It depends on luck and chance. Even with small betting amounts, it would be considered gambling. To qualify as an act of gambling, there needs to be two parties involved; one would be a loser and the other one, a winner. Secondly, there has to be an exchange of anything valuable, either money or anything else which the winner will take at the expense of loser. The third thing is while betting both the parties should not be aware of the outcome of the event.  Buying lottery tickets is also gambling. Sports’ betting is another type of gambling which is very popular in many countries and varies depending on which sport is popular in the region. Like cricket is a rage in Asia, football and soccer, in Europe. Horse racing and motor car racing are other betting avenues for bettors. Casino is a place where gambling takes place under one roof and it is legal there. It offers many options for people who love gambling like slot machines, bingo, roulette wheels, various card games like poker, blackjack and dice games. Gambling is very dependent on luck and chance but a skill of the gambler makes difference in few card games like Poker.
